A prince never lacks legitimate reasons to break his promise.

Niccolo Machiavelli.

If possible try to read his The Prince.

I also have tried. Never completed. But its a masterpiece. A real political theory. He was like Chanakya of west. You many a time disagree with of ethical basis, but at the core of the heart you give always positive thoughts to his sayings and ways. Understanding of the system.

And one more thing. He lived in then Florence, circa 1500s. Thats something which makes me jealous.

ARR

Such a MAN.

I owe him my life.

An Idol. God personified.

A R Rahman. I often indulge myself in a thought that how many miles long the procession line will be when he will die. His all fans will go fanatic. He has made us उपकृत. You go to heaven when listen his songs. May god grant him life of hundreds of working years so that he would shower this dulcets upon all कानसेन.

Such a use of Mishra Raagas, Beats, Local Folk Tunes (as good as SD, but I will post some other day on SD whome I literally adore ).

Remenber his Banjar hai sab Banjar ha?? (one from Saathiya) Mera yaar mila de.

You actually feel yourself scuffling through all thoughts, feel helpless. Such a sad thing gets over you and at the same time the need to meet her. To get her. Without that what is this life? I have to get her. See what I have become without her. My condition!! I am nothing without her. I must find her. Without her, whole life is worthless. (Such feelings you have only in one song. Song – Sham-e-gam ki kasam, Voice – Talat and music by Khayyam. Film Footpath, 1952)

Whatever mood you may be in before listening this song you become restless. I am calling her many times but she is not coming back. Not even looking back. But at the end when she comes… And music stops at a point. I am not talking about ‘point’ of time. I am talking about ‘point’ at which music stops. As if it is letting you fall down from precipice of emotions.

So basically what I mean by this is his songs are never ‘Flat’. They are concave-convex. There are always sensitive undulations. For that you need to create Drama. For which you have to be able to imagine Orchestra. Creating such a drama is not a child’s play.

And Orchestra… He is master of that. Orchestra. Gradually ascending speed and emotions. Keeping the beats constant and escalating emotions as it proceeds to an end is a thing that everyone must experience. He has used voices of masters like Lata and Asha as well as new voices according his need. Use of such voice does not create any need to manipulate the taal. Thats the most fine thing. Because Hindi film industry has seen many maestros who after being successful found them helpless without particular artist. We have C Ramchandra ( Baadshaha of hindi melody, many of us dont know that he was Marathi, Ramchandra Chitalkar ) who was unable to direct the music without Lata. Same was the case for O.P. with Asha. Both of them are masters. And here comes the greatness of ARR. He is a bit different. He is still the same. Insearch of voice for the song. Not is search of music for a particular voice. Ability. And moreover, confidence.

He literally goes form gaon to gaon. He goes to many melas and jatras. Looking for tunes. Looking for new voice. So he has not bound himself in the walls. And neither his music. See all the categories he has worked on till date. Aghast…!!!

And he is on ground.

He was born Hindu. But then got trapped in such a predicament, you may call it checkered fate ,he became Alla Rakha Rahman. I find a strange resemblanc. Tansen who is considered to be the greatest Hindustani Classical Music composer till date too was born Ramtanu Pandey. And then became मीयां तानसेन.

But India has always been like this for centuries.

(No conclusions drawn, No offense meant)

Saare Jahan Se Achcha

यूनान मीसर रोमा सब मीट गए जहासे
अब तक मगर है बाकी नाम-ओ-नीशान हमारा
-मुहम्मद इक़बाल

(In a world in which ancient Greece, Egypt, and Rome have all vanished without trace
Our own attributes (name and sign) live on today.)

يونان و مصر و روما سب مٹ گئے جہاں سے
اب تک مگر ہے باقي نام و نشاں ہمارا

Its a Great Line from the patriotic song Sare Jaha Se Achcha written by Allama Iqbal on 16 August 1904. Real name of this song is Tarana-e-Hindi. What kind of matter is used to make a mind of man? How did God really design it? Very very intricate and puzzling. As truly said, Facts are Stranger than Fiction. And they really are/

Vicissitudes.

Who was Muhammad Iqbal before going to London in 1905 and how did he transformed later…?????

Its really saddening.

Growing Up?? Beware…

What changes as you grow up??

Its not relationship with your friends but its understanding. You start understanding Shatranj ka Khel. It should not have been like that.

But you start being politic and underplaying. This happens without knowing. But it happens. And same rules apply from small things to big ones. Its from Sport to Studies. Spreads all over. And in addition to that some people call it as being Sportive. God only save them.

Recently one of friends called that my nature is too diplomatic. To be frank, I was hurt. And started thinking over it. Why did he call me like that? Instead, after some thinking I modified the question. Why did he call me that I am more diplomatic that others??

It might be because of I can’t disguise my intentions or feeling. I am OPEN DIPLOMATIST. I cant play under games (Not most of the time but as you know some times such tricks are indispensable). SO I do things openly. While others with whome I was compared do the same even with more intensity but disguised. The play same tacts but secretly. Surreptitiously.

I fall on mouth most of the time.

And so I am vulnerable.

And they are Good natured people who do clandestine moves.

I HATE this.

I just can’t be like them.

Are you Matured????

My Confession Few Months ago….

I am Doing Mechanical Engineering from COEP..
You know what does that mean????
First of all I am doing Engineering
If it does not suffice to explain my abilities then let me tell you I am doing it from COEP….
Have not you heard of that??????…
No…?? Oh..!! You are totally nuts…
Get rid of your life.

Its one of the topmost collegges in India. It has got a long and rich history.
Just look at the stalwarts in the industry who are now stainding pillers and backbone of Indian Economy and to your surprise you will find that most of them are COEP alumnus…..
And Do you know whats going on nowadays in placement cell???
almost 100% placement… Its not a joke its practicallity.

Its buliding has been declared as National Heritage Building.
It has got Boat Club.
Regatta, MindSpark, Ramanujan Maths Club, Astronomy Club and not to forget COEP History Club, many things are there……

I was very optimistic while taking admission.
But , oh, what a pity, . Its not what I was thinking of.
All the things which I mentioned above are there, indeed.. Not a least doubt about that.
But to be proud oh history is not enough to carry on the torch of Quality.
You really need to be aware of many things.

Hey,I am not gonna take off the college here.
Sorry, if I have disappointed you.
Let us put it this way.
I am still optimistic, looking forward….
I am young and I am able.
I can change the world.
Confidence is all what I have.
So, I am not being sorrowful. I will change the system.

And Now …….

I was Wrong.

To be mature means to comprehend the situation. To understand it. And to accept it.

So you become mature means you start thinking as system thinks. Rather as system wants you to think.

Thats called as being Mature.

I call it System Assimilates You.

Thats what happens to most of us.

FAST CHANGE……

FAST….

Time is running too fast.

I was just awestruck this morning. Few days ago I was in 9th standard, 10 th standard…

छोटास्सा मुलगा, आईचा शाहणा बाळ hoto…..

And counting those few days, came out to be 5 years.

And now I am in Third Year B Tech. !!!!! ?????????

Next year will be final year of my Graduation and I am going to get placed in industry. Will have a salary… Am I in Dream????

Its very hard to keep in pace with it. All things are getting changed too fast. There was a Wada few months ago on next street. Now there is a posh 10 storied building.

Technology has also enhanced but it is erasing the remarks of time and past from all over. Totally new things are emerging up. Change is the only constant thing. I accept. But one should get adequate time to cope with the change.

There is one thing called as habit because of which one feels safe in ones life. Habit is doing things repeatedly without thinking, seeing, eating, listening to same voice again and again and get used to them. To get used to them. And it takes time.

Unknown surroundings fears most.

Dostoevsky has said in his Crime and Punishment that Man is most afraid of doing things to which he is not accustomed. If there is darkness you are afraid.

And there will be darkness when either you are ignorant of the facts or you are incapable in comprehending them. Both are there in Fast Changing World. Instead, Fast Changing Time.

About its consequences, depends on individual.

But for me, I am very afraid. Cant even enjoy my college life to the fullest.

Let it Be.

This situation too will some day change.

Lets hope for that day and wait.

Wait to get accustomed. Hehehe…..
